Man, I had three subcriber then yesterday it came down to one. I have been averaging 700 page views a day but no takers on RSS subscription. My problem is that I want them to subscribe from their own volition and not because there's a contest or that because I asked them to do so.
Dude, you captured this RSS thing so vividly.
Hi Monkmojo,
LOL Isn't that the truth? We always seem to want more.
Love the cartoon, the comment on my site, and the linklove.
Well I certainly don't want any more of this rash.
I'm addicted. Where do I get help? (or procure some more?)
@Chris: I totally agree with your “on their own volition” idea. I think it’s weird how some bloggers are so fixated on this. Barbara’s post about this stuff was the tipping point for a comic on the subject.
I told myself going into this blogging stuff:
“I’m going to do stuff I enjoy, if someone also enjoys it, groovy.”
I have since added:
“I need to get the word out so folks can make the decision on whether they like it or not.”
Fortunately the word is getting out, and a few folks are sticking around. (people like to slow down and look at car wrecks)
@Barbara: Thank you!
@Tim: I can send you some cream for that rash, just ask bro.
@Jared: I appreciate your honesty, and I doubt there is help for you. ;)
*Is thinking*
I haven't had a hit of this drug yet... thanks for the heads up!
You're featured entrecardholder at my site now.
Thanks for advbertising and dropping by!
I feel like an enabler but I am now adding you to my google reader :)
I'm starting to feel this as my blog is starting to pick up, I'm wondering if I would have been better not knowing how many subscribers I get.
@Uniquely Blue: C’mon chicken everybody is doing it.
@Claire: ahhh…nothing like a fresh hit of rss.
@Asquefty: There is no coming back now; all you can do is cope.
I think the addiction has already set in :)
You hit home with your image here...LOL!!!
Then again, I gotta ask: can you offer the option of subscribing your rss feeds through email? I haven't been able to do that. I may just be the last one making your subscriber count to 1000. Or is it 10,000 now?
Evelyn
@Evelyn: When one of my favorite bloggers requests an email subscription button, she gets one! I learned that FeedBurner has included this as part of their service, nice not having to mess with FeedBlitz.
